AN ARTIST’S LIFE
I‘ve always been an artist.
When I was a little girl I would use crayons
to draw on the paper the local laundry placed
between my father’s shirts.
My formal art education began at New York’s
High School of Music and Art and continued at
the Fashion Institute of Technology, the Abracheff
School of Art, the School of Visual Arts, and
New York University.
My art is strongly influenced by several years of living
and traveling in Asia and Europe and is reflected
in the motifs found in many of my paintings.
I first exhibited my work in a solo show at Caravan House
Gallery, New York City in 1973. This was followed by
shows at Lever House Gallery, the New York Advertising
Club, the San Francisco Arts Festival, the American Institute
of Architects, San Francisco, and the Bechtel International
Center at Stanford University.
When not painting, I work as a graphic designer.
But painting is my first love.
It’s been a wonderful journey.
